Senior Software Engineer - .NET

Tyler Technologies’ Maryland Enterprise is hiring a Senior .NET Software Engineer in Annapolis, MD (onsite). This role focuses on taking complex business needs and turning them into reliable, functional web-based applications across the full SDLC. You will help build customer-facing products, contribute to an AWS-based distributed cloud platform, and support team growth through direct mentorship.

Compensation: USD 110,000 - 125,000 per year
Experience: 4+ years

What you will build and deliver

• Develop and ship high-quality customer-facing web applications.
• Maintain and improve a distributed cloud platform running on AWS.
• Develop, containerize, and deploy .NET applications to AWS.
• Own outcomes across the lifecycle including design, testing, deployment, metrics, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with engineers, engineering management, designers, and project managers to design and architect solutions.

Team impact

• Provide direct mentorship to junior engineers through hands-on guidance.
• Support other engineers’ success through both code contributions and mentorship.

What you bring

• Strong focus on scalable, robust, well-tested code.
• Full stack mindset, comfortable working across the stack where needed; senior expectations include at least 4 years of experience.
• Significant frontend experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript using Vue, React, and bootstrap.
• Ability to build secure .NET (C#) containerized applications running in AWS.
• Experience with databases including MS-SQL (relational) and NoSQL stores. Bonus: Elasticsearch/AWS.
• Experience converting .NET Framework to .NET containerized apps. Bonus: Java application development.
• Comfort in a heterogeneous environment working with multiple languages and technologies.
• Problem-solving approach that focuses on solving the problem, not the symptoms.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Enjoys close collaboration with business, infrastructure support, and development teams.
