Senior Software Engineer - Platforms

Versant Media (Nasdaq: VSNT) builds trusted media and entertainment brands that shape culture and connect with audiences. This onsite role in New York, NY pairs modern full-stack engineering with platform thinking, including scalable microservices and contemporary front-end development. You’ll also have opportunities to use SaaS and low-code/no-code approaches to move from ideas to delivery efficiently.

What you’ll do

• Partner with cross-functional teams from ideation through launch to deliver full-stack solutions that address business needs.
• Design and build scalable, fault-tolerant microservices and modern front-end applications.
• Use SaaS and low-code/no-code platforms when they fit to accelerate delivery.
• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge-sharing to strengthen team outcomes.
• Mentor junior engineers and support a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Make security, performance, and maintainability core elements of every solution.
• Work with product and architecture teams to align technical direction with business priorities.

What you bring

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular.
• Backend experience using languages including Java, Node.js, Python, or Go.
• Strong grasp of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure; experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Salary range: USD 110,000 - 160,000 per year. This position is eligible for company-sponsored benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance.
