Senior Software Engineer Remote/Travel- Active TS/SCI clearance(or SCI-eligibility)

Oteemo, a transformation-focused firm, seeks a Senior Software Engineer who holds active TS/SCI clearance or is SCI-eligible. This remote role with travel support centers on building sophisticated graph data models, real-time data processing, and cloud-native deployments, serving both DoD and commercial clients. You will collaborate across data engineering, software development, and AI-enabled initiatives to deliver production-ready solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement graph data structures that capture intricate system relationships, workflows, and time-sensitive processes using Neo4j, Gremlin, or comparable tools.
• Develop and integrate back-end services for web applications and contribute to front-end work as needed to deliver complete features.
• Build and maintain robust ETL pipelines across structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data with a strong focus on data quality.
• Engineer real-time and event-streaming workflows to manage high-velocity sequential data flows.
• Deploy and operate enterprise applications in cloud environments, applying containerization and orchestration alongside DevOps, DataOps, and MLOps practices.
• Apply GenAI and ML techniques, including GraphRAG, to graph-related and NoSQL data problems.
• Write comprehensive unit, integration, and API tests to ensure robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
• Run simulations and perform advanced analytics in Python to address complex mission-focused problems.
• Align data engineering approaches with large-scale interconnected systems to ensure adaptability and scalability.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance (or SCI-eligibility), ideally with past or current DoD SAP/SAR access.
• Advanced degree in a quantitative field (e.g., computer science, machine learning, applied statistics, mathematics) or equivalent experience, with 7–8 years in relevant roles.
• Proven experience with graph databases and analytics (Neo4j, Gremlin, or similar) and query languages such as Cypher or Gremlin; ability to model complex relationships and time-dependent processes.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, Node.js, or Go, with a track record of clean, scalable code.
• Experience delivering full-stack solutions, including back-end development and contributor work on front-end components when required.
• Extensive data engineering background with ETL, data quality, and handling structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data; familiarity with event streaming and real-time processing.
• Practical knowledge of software engineering best practices, including DevOps, DataOps, MLOps, containerization (Docker), and orchestration.
• Experience with distributed computing and cloud deployment of enterprise applications.
• Strong testing capabilities across unit, integration, and API layers.
• Exposure to NoSQL work and graph-related challenges, including GenAI approaches like GraphRAG.
• Ability to align data engineering strategies with large, interconnected systems for scalability.
