Senior Structural Engineer

The Senior Structural Engineer role at BlueBridge Group Placement Corp focuses on the analysis and design of structural systems for steel and concrete buildings. This position works within a multi-discipline team, producing engineering designs, drawings, and 3D structural analysis models while supporting project development and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify detailed engineering designs, drawings, documents, and specifications
• Perform detailed engineering design for gravity and lateral systems of building structures
• Lead project development and manage deliverables with the team
• Review project work and deliverables to maintain high quality standards in line with project schedules
• Support and develop less experienced team members to help achieve project success and team goals
• Create 3D structural analysis models using commercial software, including RAM, SAP, ETABS, SAFE, and similar tools
• Set up, manage, and review job and project administrative systems, including planning and monitoring job resourcing and expenditure
• Attend and participate in client and design team meetings under the guidance of project leadership

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in innovative structural building engineering design
• Relevant master’s degree
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure
• Thorough knowledge of US building codes and professional standards, with expertise in seismic design
• Working experience with BIM tools such as Revit
• Commitment to sustainability and reducing the environmental impact of projects
• PE/SE certificate (Required)
• Boston, MA 02108: Relocate before starting work (Required)

Preferred Skills

• Structural Engineer (S.E.) is a plus
• Experience in performance-based seismic design and seismic devices (base isolation, hysteretic or viscous dampers, etc.) is a plus
• Experience with, or willingness to learn, computational design methods using Rhino and Grasshopper is a plus
