Senior Water Resources Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and construction administration for water and wastewater utility projects
• Incorporate site visits and participation in client and public meetings
• Direct project teams to deliver contracted scope within defined budgets and schedules
• Prepare scope of work and level of effort estimates for contract proposals
• Develop and sustain a robust network of clients
• Drive marketing and business development, including proposal development
• Mentor and oversee a motivated project team
• Execute planning, design, bidding, and construction administration phases of water infrastructure projects

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering; Master’s degree preferred
• Kentucky Professional Engineer (PE) registration required
• 15+ years of experience in design and construction administration of water and wastewater utility projects within a consulting environment
• Strong technical background in water resource engineering; proficient across planning, design, bidding, and construction administration
• Excellent marketing and business development skills with established industry contacts
• Experience developing proposals
• Proficient in project management; able to prepare scope of work and level-of-effort estimates and lead teams to meet contracted scope, budget, and schedule
• Exceptional client service management; able to build and maintain a healthy client network
• Proven leadership; ability to mentor and supervise a team
• Software knowledge: Microsoft Office; Newforma experience preferred
• Excellent spoken and written English communication
• High level of organizational skill and attention to detail
• Strong time management abilities
• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
• Motivation to exceed firm and client expectations
