Job Description
Senior Water Resources Engineer opportunity in Lexington, KY with GRW Engineers, Inc., focused on planning, design, and construction administration of water and wastewater utility projects, with ownership opportunities and active involvement in business development and client management.
Responsibilities
- Lead planning, design, and construction administration for water and wastewater utility projects
- Incorporate site visits and participation in client and public meetings
- Direct project teams to deliver contracted scope within defined budgets and schedules
- Prepare scope of work and level of effort estimates for contract proposals
- Develop and sustain a robust network of clients
- Drive marketing and business development, including proposal development
- Mentor and oversee a motivated project team
- Execute planning, design, bidding, and construction administration phases of water infrastructure projects
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering; Master’s degree preferred
- Kentucky Professional Engineer (PE) registration required
- 15+ years of experience in design and construction administration of water and wastewater utility projects within a consulting environment
- Strong technical background in water resource engineering; proficient across planning, design, bidding, and construction administration
- Excellent marketing and business development skills with established industry contacts
- Experience developing proposals
- Proficient in project management; able to prepare scope of work and level-of-effort estimates and lead teams to meet contracted scope, budget, and schedule
- Exceptional client service management; able to build and maintain a healthy client network
- Proven leadership; ability to mentor and supervise a team
- Software knowledge: Microsoft Office; Newforma experience preferred
- Excellent spoken and written English communication
- High level of organizational skill and attention to detail
- Strong time management abilities
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
