Senior Water Resources Engineer
Job Description
HireOTS is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to join on-site in Fort Myers, Florida. The role centers on engineering planning, design, and construction support for water resources projects, spanning stormwater management, water and wastewater treatment plants and conveyance, as well as reporting, modeling, and field activities. The position offers a salary range of USD 85,000 to 140,000 per year and requires a long track record in the field.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering consulting services for stormwater, water and wastewater treatment plants, and conveyance systems.
- Lead engineering planning and design initiatives for municipal water resources projects.
- Prepare and review technical reports, develop project plans, and finalize specifications.
- Develop and scrutinize cost estimates for a variety of water and wastewater projects.
- Perform hydraulic modeling analyses to support project decisions.
- Manage permitting tasks and produce technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables.
- Conduct data entry and analysis to support project work.
- Provide engineering services during construction phases.
- Participate in field activities such as pilot testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in water resource projects.
- Strong ability to design and select multi-benefit water resources solutions for municipal clients.
- Experience with ArcGIS, WaterGEMS, InfoWater, InfoWorks ICM, InfoSWMM, or Groundwater Vistas.
- Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering is a plus.
