Job Description

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sentinel - Systems / Principal Systems Security Engineer for the Sentinel program in Roy, Utah (onsite), with about 10% travel and a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the SSE Risk Assessment Team in carrying out program initiatives and risk-focused activities.
  • Assess and recommend system security designs to stakeholders; identify and propose mitigations for vulnerabilities and risks across the program lifecycle.
  • Fulfill completion Statement of Work requirements, Program Milestone Exit Criteria, and program maturity commitments.
  • Operate as a self-starter who initiates action without direct prompting from supervision.
  • Provide MDT support and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Travel about 10% to support program needs.
  • Combine technical proficiency with strong time management, organization, and forward-looking planning to anticipate challenges.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance, current and within scope, investigation date within the last six years.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable timeframe as determined by the company.
  • Proven experience researching, interpreting, and developing mitigations for vulnerabilities.
  • Proven experience creating risk statements and developing mitigation plans for those risks.
  • Experience communicating technical approaches and findings clearly to stakeholders.
  • Strong written communication skills with experience drafting documentation.
  • Systems Engineer level (T-02): Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and 2 years of related experience; or a Master’s degree with 0 years of related experience.
  • Principal Systems Engineer level (T-03): Bachelor’s in STEM with 5 years of related experience; 3 years with a Master’s degree; 1 year with a PhD.
  • Experience performing Trusted Systems and Networks (TSN) analyses.
  • Familiarization with DoD Instruction 5200.44.
  • Experience conducting Cybersecurity Risk Assessments.
