Software Engineer
Job Description
Lockheed Martin's AI Center (LAIC) is at the forefront of Applied AI within the STAR.OS portfolio, building software from initial prototypes through to deployment. This Software Engineer role blends hands-on development with opportunities to lead technically and mentor junior engineers, all within a hybrid work arrangement based in Colorado Springs.

Schedule
4x10 hour days, with 3 days off per week
Pay Rate
The base salary range is $89,300 to $157,435 annually. For states not listed in the description, the final range will reflect the chosen work location.
Responsibilities
- Develop software solutions that incorporate Artificial Intelligence to deliver advanced capabilities for customers
- Engage in all phases of the system development lifecycle, including requirements, design, implementation, integration, and flight testing
- Work on activities from concept proofs and prototype development to demonstrators and production transition
- Apply modern computer science principles such as object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms to craft robust, innovative solutions
- Utilize concurrency through threading and multiprocessing and handle I/O across block storage, networking, and databases
- Take on technical lead responsibilities and mentor junior engineers as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript
- Experience with Angular, React, or Node
- US Citizenship required for consideration
- Secret security clearance
