Job Description

ISTAR seeks a Software Engineer in Pine Brook, NJ (onsite) to design, develop, test, and maintain software while supporting distribution center logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Apply software engineering principles to design, develop, maintain, test, and evaluate software that provides business capabilities, solutions, or product suites.
  • Provide systems life cycle management including analyses, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, and implementation of systems and applications software to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.
  • Research and support the integration of emerging technologies.
  • Contribute to ERP system migrations that are ongoing or planned.
  • Provide knowledge and support for applications' development, integration, and maintenance.
  • Develop program logic for new applications or analyze and modify logic in existing applications.
  • Analyze requirements, test, and integrate application components.
  • Ensure system improvements are successfully implemented.
  • May focus on web/internet applications specifically, using a variety of languages and platforms.
  • Define application complexity drivers, estimate development efforts, create milestones and timelines, and track progress toward completion.
  • Handle incoming requests and logging/routing within the ticketing system.
  • Password resets: AD accounts, email accounts, ERP access, etc.
  • Configuration assistance: printers, browser settings, OS settings, update settings, etc.
  • Analyze and form recommendations for escalation of issues to Level 2/3
  • Perform all other duties as assigned, assist with other departments routinely, such as order processing, purchasing follow-ups, tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with various departments.
  • Bachelor Degree in relevant field.
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office suite programs.

General Help Desk Responsibilities - Level 1
