Software Engineer

This Software Engineer position with SCCI (Southeastern Comp Consult Consultants Inc) provides Independent Verification and Validation support for CAST Lessons used on shipboard systems. The role is on-site in King George, VA.

Overview

SCCI seeks a Software Engineer to support the Surface Combat Systems Training Center (SCSTC) in the Independent Verification and Validation of CAST Lessons for shipboard systems. The role is located on-site in King George, VA.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) of operator training lessons using Government furnished equipment.
• Identify content discrepancies and communicate findings to the lesson originators and SCSTC for review and validation.
• Attend comment review adjudication meetings related to CAST IV&V results.
• Update operator lessons through the Life-Cycle process whenever discrepancies are discovered.
• Interface with customers, management, and staff as needed.

Requirements

• U.S. citizen with an Active Secret Security Clearance.
• High school diploma required.
• Minimum of three years of combat system shipboard experience on an AEGIS platform, including CIC watchstanding.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and a results-oriented mindset.
• Excellent organizational, task-tracking, and follow-up skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience
