Job Description

This onsite Software Engineer role in Columbus, OH focuses on planning, designing, developing, and validating software systems with an emphasis on UX innovation. The position includes enhancing existing products and building new cloud-based, internet-connected solutions intended to differentiate offerings and improve customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, develop, and validate software systems and applications with a primary emphasis on UX innovation.
  • Improve existing products and create new solutions, particularly within cloud-based platforms and internet-connected tools.
  • Build intuitive, high-performing UX applications that support product differentiation and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Five or more years of software development experience
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, and C++, with applicability across diverse development environments
  • Experience across both front-end and back-end development, demonstrating a strong grasp of full-stack architecture and integration
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Kanban and Scrum, with hands-on experience in iterative development and collaborative work
  • Hands-on experience deploying and integrating services on cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Knowledge of database management systems, including SQL and NoSQL technologies, for effective data modeling and access
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of troubleshooting complex technical issues and proposing effective solutions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork across multidisciplinary groups
  • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Hands-on GUI development experience using modern tools and frameworks, with a focus on usability and performance
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices applied to secure software design and implementation
