Software Engineer

Software Engineer role focused on building and improving complex software systems for processing-intensive analytics and large-scale data applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems based on documented requirements
• Work on software examples including processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, extremely large data set manipulation, real-time systems, and business management information systems
• Perform work independently or as part of a team
• Review and test software components to confirm adherence to design requirements and document test results
• Resolve software problem reports
• Apply appropriate software development and software design methodologies for the development environment
• Provide input to system design for software components, including:
  • Hardware/software trade-offs
  • Software reuse approaches
  • Use of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) or Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) instead of new development
  • Requirements analysis and synthesis from system level down to individual software components
• Provide customer support as needed
• Operate as a self-starter

Requirements

• Seven (7) years of experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university
• Four (4) additional years of SWE experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance with the federal government (U.S. citizenship required) to be considered

Technical Skills

• Preferred: C++, Javascript, python
• Relevant technologies: Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS), Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS)

Compensation

• Salary range starts at $140,000 per year and up
• Exact salary depends on work location, role, skill set, and level of expertise
