Software Engineer

Pinnacle Partners, Inc. is hiring a Software Engineer for a key technical ownership role on a client’s cloud-based platform. This Indiana (hybrid) position focuses on building backend services, APIs, integrations, and internal operational tools that support high-volume data processing. You will work with modern Microsoft stack technologies hosted in Microsoft Azure, including CI/CD and production monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using C# and modern .NET platforms
• Build and support high-volume data processing systems
• Design and optimize SQL Server databases, queries, and data access patterns
• Create and maintain integrations with external customers, technology partners, and third-party platforms
• Support cloud infrastructure and application services hosted in Microsoft Azure
• Develop internal web applications and operational tools using Blazor and ASP.NET Core
• Implement secure authentication, authorization, and service-to-service communication
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and support deployments across development, testing, and production environments
• Monitor production systems, troubleshoot complex issues, and improve platform reliability and performance
• Collaborate with product, support, operations, and integration partners to gather requirements and design solutions

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience with strong expertise in C#, modern .NET, ASP.NET Core, backend API design, and SQL Server/T-SQL including query optimization and large datasets
• Hands-on experience with Entity Framework Core and deploying or supporting production applications in Microsoft Azure
• Experience building distributed systems using messaging, queues, background processing, or event-driven architectures, plus designing and consuming REST APIs
• Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines
