Software Engineer

System One is hiring a Contract to Hire Software Engineer to support the EGSE organization in Roxborough, CO 80125 onsite (supporting work in the Littleton, CO area). In this role, you will contribute to modernization efforts and help the team improve efficiency, security, automation, and scalability through Agile collaboration and coordination with product leadership.

Role and Location

• Job type: contract (contract to hire)

• Pay: USD 110 - 110 per hour

Responsibilities

• Support the EGSE organization as a software engineer.
• Contribute to modernization efforts focused on greater efficiency, security, automation, and scalability.
• Collaborate with a team of software, systems, electrical, and test engineers using the Agile Development methodology.
• Coordinate with the product line manager and directorates to address support needs.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering roles.
• Clearance: US Citizenship is required; ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance; DoD Secret clearance required prior to start.
• Programming experience: one or more of C/C++, LabView, Python, Java, TestStand.
• Experience designing software for automated test equipment.
• Fundamental understanding of Python scripting.
• Experience with product lifecycle management (Design, Development, Deployment) and/or issue-tracking systems.
• Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and integrating software on hardware test systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience troubleshooting software and hardware interactions, including network devices and lab instrumentation.
• Experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and test software development using LabVIEW, C/C++, and Python.
• Prior experience with Electrical Ground Support Equipment or communications systems for aerospace/defense.
• Familiarity with Atlassian Products development processes.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited college or equivalent experience.
