Software Engineer

Join Kestra Financial on the Advisor Platform Engineering team to build and maintain front-end and back-end capabilities that power its financial advisor platform. You will design reliable, accessible software, integrate systems, and deliver improvements through Agile practices, testing, and continuous integration and delivery. What you’ll do

• Design, develop, test, and deploy front-end and back-end capabilities that meet accessibility, performance, and reliability goals.
• Translate product requirements, UI/UX designs, and architecture guidance into maintainable, functional software.
• Write clean, well-documented, testable code that follows development standards; contribute to shared component libraries and the design system.
• Participate in peer reviews with a focus on correctness, resiliency, and maintainability.
• Help shape scalable application architecture and ensure seamless integration across systems.
• Document technical designs for review before implementing significant changes.
• Author unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, and maintain continuous integration and delivery practices.
• Apply best practices for automated testing and deployment.
• Instrument applications for proactive monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues promptly to maintain system health.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, architects, and peers; provide status updates, estimates, and demos in Agile ceremonies.
• Support team knowledge sharing by mentoring junior teammates.
• Identify technical debt and performance bottlenecks; propose improvements to processes, tooling, and documentation.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, sharing insights with the team.
• Own deliverables from conception through production rollout, aligning work to team objectives and broader strategic priorities.

What you bring

• Typically 3-7 years of professional experience delivering production front-end and back-end systems with a track record of successful contributions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical/work experience.
• Hands-on experience with modern web and services technologies including React, TypeScript, C#, and .NET.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum and with cross-functional teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration across teams.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and data stores such as SQL Server and Cosmos DB (desired).
• Experience in financial services or a highly regulated industry (desired).
• Experience modernizing legacy systems (desired).

Austin, TX (onsite). Minimum experience: 3 years.
