Software Engineer - AI Integration

This role supports Zions Bancorporation's Enterprise Architecture Governance team, delivering innovative software solutions while guiding testing and configuration management. The position focuses on integrating AI, cloud platforms, and microservices to sustain mission-critical applications across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Create and deploy innovative software solutions that align with business needs.
• Lead testing strategies and configuration management to ensure quality and consistency.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver integrated technology solutions.
• Maintain and support existing systems, diagnosing and resolving issues as they arise.
• Engage in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Architect, develop, and optimize database technologies for performance and reliability.
• Manage the codebase and deployment processes using version control tools.
• Implement DevOps practices to streamline development and operations workflows.
• Integrate cloud services and microservices architectures into software initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 4+ years in software development experience.
• Experience with database technologies.
• Experience with version control systems (Git preferred).
• Experience with DevOps tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Or other directly related experience.
• Experience with AI Platforms (Gemini or Copilot preferred) and AI prompt engineering.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with SAFe or other agile frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Financial or Banking services experience a plus.

Work Location

The role features a hybrid work arrangement with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the Zions Technology Center in Midvale, Utah.
