Software Engineer for Building Automation Systems

We specialize in turnkey Building Automation Systems and Energy Cost Reduction Measures, delivering design, installation and true 24/7 service to commercial, industrial and institutional clients. This is a full-time, onsite Software Engineer role based in New York, NY 10020, with work at client sites across the New York metropolitan area. Salary range is USD 65,000 to 95,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Develop and configure Building Automation Systems using proprietary object-oriented programming languages.
• Design user interfaces for Building Automation Systems to clearly communicate system status and feedback to end users.
• Install, configure and maintain video management and access control systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues on existing customer installations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Science, Computer Systems Networking, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Previous IT experience that demonstrates troubleshooting skills, attention to detail and strong customer relations.
• Two years of BMS programming experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of Schneider Electric, Distech or Tridium is preferred.
• Proficiency with TCP/IP networks, Windows 10 and Windows Server platforms setup and maintenance.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is a plus.
