Software Engineer III - Python Fullstack - AI/ML

This Software Engineer III role focuses on Python full-stack development with AI and machine learning components within JPMorganChase’s Corporate Technology organization. The position is based onsite in Plano, TX, and involves designing and delivering secure, scalable technology products as part of an agile team to support the firm’s objectives across multiple business functions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement software solutions, including design and troubleshooting, with the ability to tackle non-routine problems and decompose complex technical challenges.
• Deliver secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that operate in concert with relevant systems.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring code adheres to stated design constraints.
• Collect, analyze, and synthesize data to create visualizations and reports from large, diverse datasets to drive continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
• Identify hidden problems and data patterns to inform improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events exploring new and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of full-stack Python development experience.
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficiency in coding with one or more programming languages.
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database query languages.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, including production-grade orchestration.
• Exposure to cloud-native development and AWS services, especially AWS EKS for deploying and managing containerized applications.
• Strong understanding of agile practices, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and agentic coding workflows (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Amazon CodeWhisperer) and knowledge of GenAI fundamentals to boost developer productivity.
• Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline, such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or related areas.
