Software Engineer, Lead

Lead full-stack software engineer responsible for guiding a team, delivering end-to-end solutions from vision to production, and applying modern architectures in a fast-paced environment at Booz Allen Hamilton in Fort Meade, MD.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team as they adopt new tools and techniques, identifying opportunities to improve the system.
• Partner with clients to address complex challenges using current architectural approaches, tools, and technologies.
• Ensure the team's solution aligns with the existing architecture and operating environment, while planning for future functionality and enhancements.

Requirements

• Proficiency developing software in Python.
• Experience building web applications with JavaScript and React.
• Experience querying and manipulating data from corporate repositories.
• Development experience on Linux-based platforms.
• Proficient with Git for day-to-day development workflows.
• Ability to work directly in customer spaces, collaborate, and solve challenging problems.
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree plus 12+ years of software engineering experience, or 16+ years of software engineering experience in lieu of a degree.

Security clearance

Compensation

• Projected annual salary range of USD 112,800 to 257,000.
• This posting will close within 90 days from the posting date; salary is determined by location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract affordability, and organizational requirements.
