Job Description

Northrop Grumman Space Sector offers an on-site Software Engineer - Level 2 role in Morrisville, NC with a comprehensive benefits package and competitive compensation. The position supports the full lifecycle of ground-segment software, including design, development, documentation, refactoring, testing and debugging, and collaborates across program milestones. Openings are available in Redondo Beach, CA; Aurora, CO; Fairfax, VA; or Morrisville, NC, and a Top Secret clearance with SCI/CI poly is required.

Work involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver software that enables ground operations, with a focus on maintainability and scalability across systems. The role provides exposure to modern development practices and opportunities to contribute to mission-critical programs while working on-site with hardware and systems teams.

Requirements

  • 2 years of relevant experience with Bachelor's degree; 0 years with Master's degree; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Active Top Secret clearance at the time of application, with the ability and willingness to obtain SCI and CI Poly
  • Experience with C++ and Python
  • Experience with RedHat Linux environment
  • Experience with Software design lifecycle
  • Experience with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.) and development using Agile methodologies

Salary

Primary level salary range: $87,600.00 to $137,600.00 per year.
