Software Engineer - Level 2 or 3

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Software Engineer at Level 2 or 3 for an onsite role in the Aurora, Colorado region near Buckley Air Force Base. The position requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance and entails designing, developing, testing, and supporting software applications and systems.

Compensation

Salary: USD 91,800 - 171,000 per year

Location and Clearance

Location: Aurora, CO onsite at the Buckley AFB area. Clearance: active Top Secret/SCI clearance required at time of application.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements software and systems, including documentation, testing, and debugging to address logical and mathematical requirements.
• Performs multidisciplinary research and collaborates with hardware engineers and equipment designers to plan and develop electronic data processing solutions for product and commercial software.
• Assesses user needs and analyzes system capabilities to resolve issues related to program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, and controls; drafts operating instructions; contributes to compiler and assembler development and related utilities.
• Ensures compliance with established software standards throughout the development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required at time of application.
• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience; 0 years of relevant experience with a Master’s degree; an additional 4 years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience; 3 years of relevant experience with a Master’s degree; 0 years of relevant experience with a PhD; an additional 4 years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
• Experience with software architecture, design, and development.
• Experience with Agile leadership, including product owner and scrum master roles, as well as planning and scheduling.
• Experience with technical customer engagement and interaction.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence.
• Perl and Python knowledge is desirable.
