Junior Software Engineer

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems that support national defense decision-making. This position requires active Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance and U.S. citizenship, with on-site work in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems based on documented requirements, including processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems.
• Contribute both independently and as part of a team.
• Review and test software components to verify alignment with design requirements, and document test results.
• Investigate and resolve software problem reports.
• Apply software development and software design methodologies aligned with the development environment.
• Provide input to system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, and the use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS) and Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) solutions instead of new development, from system-level requirements down to individual software components.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Alternatively, four (4) years of software engineering experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree.
• No demonstrated experience is required.

Security Clearance and Citizenship

• Active Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
