Job Description
The Software Engineer, UI/UX role at ImmunityBio focuses on building responsive web and mobile interfaces for advanced AI applications. This position connects design intent with engineering execution to deliver intuitive, high-performance user experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, and implement user interfaces for AI-driven web and mobile applications.
- Collaborate with backend and infrastructure teams to support seamless API integration and data pipelines.
- Maintain a unified design system across web (Next.js, Svelte, React) and mobile (iOS, Android) experiences.
- Optimize front-end performance, accessibility, and responsiveness.
- Run user testing and feedback sessions to improve usability and visual design.
- Support architecture and tooling for build, testing, and deployment using Bun, TypeScript, and Node.js.
- Stay current with emerging UI/UX and front-end trends, with emphasis on AI, visualization, and interaction design.
- Create, edit, and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including process improvements and standardized templates.
- Perform ad-hoc and cross-functional duties or projects as assigned to support business needs and development opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of front-end development experience, including strong proficiency in Next.js, Svelte, and React.
- Experience designing and shipping native iOS and Android applications using React Native or native SDKs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with design tooling such as Figma or Sketch and familiarity with UI component libraries.

Working Environment
- Onsite position in Dunkirk, NY.
- Regular schedule Monday to Friday within standard business hours, with flexibility available with manager approval.
- Ability to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer.
- Ability to lift and carry materials up to 20 pounds.
- Extensive use of computer keyboards and monitors.
