Sr. Design Engineer - Transmission Line

This on site senior design engineering role in Seattle, WA focuses on high voltage transmission lines and distribution. The position involves designing and analyzing transmission line systems, producing engineering drawings, specifications, and reports, with proficiency in PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, MFAD, and LPile. The role offers a salary range of $105,000 to $120,000 per year and requires a minimum of five years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze transmission line systems, including structures, conductors, and foundations.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to verify adherence to design standards and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and fellow engineers to ensure successful project execution.
• Utilize advanced software tools for modeling and simulating transmission line performance.
• Keep current with industry trends, standards, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) credential and pursuing a Professional Engineer license.
• 5+ years of experience in transmission line design projects within the utilities industry.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time for projects and client visits.
• Proficient in PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, MFAD, and LPile.
• Experience in designing transmission lines and/or distribution systems.
• Strong team collaboration, communication, and leadership capabilities.
