Job Description

Leoforce is seeking a permanent Senior H&H Design Engineer to join our onsite team in Orange, CA. This hydrology and hydraulics focused role supports water resources projects through analyses, modeling, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. The position offers a competitive base salary of $100,000 to $130,000 per year, full benefits, and strong opportunities for professional growth and mentorship.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and studies, applying established engineering principles.
  • Design and implement complex water resources solutions.
  • Develop models from hydrologic studies and interpret results to inform design decisions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet project requirements and standards.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and other team members, fostering a learning environment.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations that clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advances in hydrology and hydraulics.
  • Participate in project meetings, contributing technical insights.
  • Work closely with project managers to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and engineering standards.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree or PhD is considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hydrology and hydraulics with a focus on design engineering.
  • Proficient with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles related to water resources.
  • Proven experience conducting hydrologic studies and interpreting results.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative engineering solutions.
  • Strong communication skills to clearly explain complex technical concepts.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
