Responsibilities
- Architectural influence across cross‑functional systems, shaping designs and implementations that align multiple engineering teams and languages.
- Technical leadership to set direction, elevate code quality, promote sound design patterns, and drive operational excellence in frontend architecture.
- Cross‑team collaboration to lead complex initiatives, maintain active engagement, and address technical debt and challenges.
- Mentorship and elevation of the engineering team through technical guidance, sponsorship, and role modeling best practices for junior engineers.
- Proactive problem solving to reduce technical debt and resolve incidents and bugs efficiently.
Requirements
- Typically 8+ years of experience in technical leadership, mentorship, and sponsorship.
- Deep expertise designing and implementing frontend systems and scalable architectures across multiple applications or languages.
- Strong ability to influence others and drive consensus.
- Full‑stack perspective or frontend architecture experience with awareness of how backend services affect the user experience.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Several years of experience in agile software development.
Desired technical skills
- Modern React and TypeScript at scale, with extensive production experience in long‑lived codebases.
- State and data architecture expertise, including server‑state and client‑state patterns and their placement.
- Design system stewardship, owning or shaping a shared component library with primitive foundations and Storybook‑driven development.
- Design partnership and craft, fluently reading Figma files and collaborating on thoughtful loading, empty, and error states.
- Accessibility as a baseline, with WCAG 2.1 AA conformance, keyboard/focus management, and ARIA semantics.
- Full‑stack capability, capable of API contract design with backend partners and understanding how data shape, latency, and auth influence UX.
- Performance and observability focus, tuning real‑user performance using Web Vitals, bundle analysis, and RUM (Datadog or equivalent).

- Annual Targeted Salary: $170,000 - $200,000 USD
