Staff Software Engineer - AI Trainer

DataAnnotation offers a fully remote role with a flexible project-based schedule, designed for engineers who want to influence the next generation of AI trainers. You can work from anywhere in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand, with hourly compensation up to 100 USD and the potential for higher bonus rates on select projects. This position focuses on building and evaluating coding problems, writing clear code and explanations, and shaping AI model training from a distance.

Location: Lockport, NY (remote)

Compensation: USD 50 - 100 per hour

Responsibilities

• Design and solve diverse coding problems used to train AI systems.
• Write clear, high quality code snippets accompanied by detailed explanations.
• Evaluate AI-generated code for accuracy, performance, and clarity.
• Provide feedback that directly informs the next generation of AI models.

Requirements

• Fluency in English (native or bilingual level).
• Proficiency in at least one of the following: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, Kotlin, or Swift.
• Excellent writing and grammar skills.
• Bachelor's degree, completed or in progress.
