Staff Software Engineer - AI Trainer

DataAnnotation is expanding its AI training team with a Staff Software Engineer to serve as an AI Trainer. In this fully remote, flexible contracting role, you will contribute to shaping AI systems by designing and solving a variety of coding problems, producing clear code samples, and delivering feedback that drives model improvements. The position is based in Erie, Pennsylvania, with remote work supported for eligible applicants.

Responsibilities

• Design and solve diverse coding problems used to train AI systems.
• Write clear, high quality code snippets and detailed explanations.
• Evaluate AI-generated code for accuracy, performance, and clarity.
• Provide feedback that directly shapes the next generation of AI models.

Requirements

• Fluency in English (native or bilingual level).
• Proficiency in at least one of the following languages or frameworks: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, Kotlin, or Swift.
• Excellent writing and grammar skills.
• A bachelor's degree (completed or in progress).
