System Cyber Security Engineer

Abacus Technology is hiring a full-time System Cyber Security Engineer to deliver security support for the C3I&N Directorate at Hanscom AFB, MA. This onsite role focuses on DoD and Air Force cybersecurity policy alignment, certification and accreditation processes, and PKI support to enable standardized capabilities.

Role Responsibilities

• Verify that system and application deliverables satisfy the requirements of all applicable DoD and Air Force cybersecurity policies.
• Ensure system deliverables comply with DoD and Air Force cybersecurity policy, including DoDI 8500.01 and AFI 17-130.
• Support compliance with DoD and Air Force Certification and Accreditation policies, including DoDI 8510.01 (RMF for DoD Systems) and AFI 17-101 (RMF for Air Force Information Technology).
• Support activities and meet requirements of DoDI 8520.02 for Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Public Key (PK) Enabling, enabling standardized, PKI-supported capabilities for biometrics, digital signatures, encryption, identification, and authentication.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in cyber security or information assurance, including at least 3 years in a DoD environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; additional years of experience may be substituted for degree requirements.
• Experience with certification and accreditation (C&A), assessment and authorization (A&A), and RMF.
• Significant experience with vulnerability scanning and analysis, including use of automated tools and vulnerability management systems.
• Knowledge of intrusion prevention and network access control tools or systems.
• Experience with acquisition and sustainment.
• Understanding of system audit principles and security risk assessment.
• Solid understanding of network infrastructure and mission assurance.
• Familiarity with Federal government and DoD standards for IA/security, including DIACAP, FISMA, NIST, and OMB.
• Solid communications skills and the ability to work with all levels of an organization.
• US Citizenship and a current Secret clearance.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is USD 150,600 - 165,400 per year.
