Job Description

The role combines systems engineering with training development to create, deliver, and sustain instructional products for Ground Control Systems and C4I, supporting Aircrew and Mission Planner functions. Operating within the Training & Simulation team, you will produce interactive courseware, simulations, and trainer assets while coordinating with engineering, logistics, and program teams.

Overview

Positioned as a Level 4 Systems Engineer and Training Developer, the role focuses on delivering advanced training solutions that enable operators to master GCS and C4I capabilities. The work involves designing immersive, real-world-capable training content and ensuring its ongoing relevance through collaboration across disciplines and programs.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop interactive courseware, simulations, and scenario-based training aligned with mission environments.
  • Collaborate with test pilots, systems engineers, and simulation technicians to validate training effectiveness and update technical documentation.
  • Serve as the subject-matter expert for GCS operations, delivering briefings and instruction to pilots, engineers, and customer personnel in classroom, simulator, and operational settings.
  • Produce multimedia training assets, including graphics, part-task trainers, and flight-simulator modules, applying modern instructional-design practices.
  • Support system integration, verification, and rollout by providing training-focused installation assistance and coordination with engineering, logistics, and program teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Experience operating and maintaining Ground Control Systems and related support equipment
  • Experience troubleshooting computer systems and networks
  • Working knowledge of computer and network systems administration
  • Experience with hardware and software systems
  • Experience developing, planning, and delivering technical training

The position is the Systems Engineer and Training Developer for the Training & Simulation team, focused on delivering state-of-the-art training solutions for Aircrew and Mission Planner functions. You will create, deliver, and sustain high-impact training products that enable operators to master GCS and C4I capabilities.

Security and Citizenship

Must be a U.S. citizen. This position is at a facility requiring special access, and the selected candidate must hold an active Top Secret clearance with an investigation within the past five years to start. This role requires a government security clearance and U.S. citizenship for consideration.
