Test Automation Software Engineer – Level 5

Senior-level Test Automation Software Engineer – Level 5 with Northrop Grumman Space Sector, based onsite in Morrisville, NC; operates on a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and analyses of cost, risk, and supportability for complete systems.
• Assess activities across the full system lifecycle—from concept and design to fabrication, testing, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
• Ensure customer or product requirements are transformed into comprehensive system solutions within schedule and cost constraints.
• Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition to derive hardware and software specifications.
• Maintain and enhance existing operations procedures, incorporating lessons learned from real-time performance.
• Develop new procedures as needed and interface with program and customer personnel to align on goals and deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 12 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 10 years, or PhD with 8 years.
• Active U.S. Government DoD Top-Secret (TS) / Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance current and in scope, with ability to pass a counterintelligence polygraph.
• Experience using Atlassian tools including JIRA and Confluence.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams within an Agile software delivery framework.
• Experience managing product lifecycles for new and existing products.
• Ability to distinguish between stakeholder wants and needs.
• Experience translating technical and business requirements into Epics, Features, and User Stories.
• Proficiency with Python programming language.
• Experience with one or more test automation frameworks or tools such as Behave, Zephyr, Cucumber, RFT, or Robot Framework.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Nexus.
• Experience with CI/CD orchestration using Jenkins and GitLab.
