Test Measurement and Facilities Electrical Engineer

ASML’s Test Measurement & Facilities (TMF) organization builds the electrical foundations that support product development, qualification, reliability testing, and troubleshooting across the product lifecycle. In this role, you will specify, design, develop, integrate, and validate electrical systems and measurement solutions with a strong focus on engineering rigor, documentation quality, and EHS-minded execution. Work is performed on-site in Wilton, Connecticut.

What you’ll do

• Specify, design, develop, integrate, and validate electrical systems, test infrastructure, and measurement solutions for engineering development, qualification, reliability testing, and troubleshooting across ASML programs.
• Deliver electrical designs and test solutions that meet system specifications, cost targets, and project schedules.
• Develop instrumentation, controls, automation, and data acquisition systems, along with laboratory infrastructure used for product validation and operational excellence.
• Lead complex technical design efforts within your discipline or own module-level areas, coordinating contributions across multiple engineers as needed.
• Design analog and digital circuitry, including printed circuit boards.
• Perform AC and DC power distribution design, plus interlock and safety circuit design with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) design.
• Design interconnect cables and harnesses, and create electronic rack, cabinet, box, and control console designs.
• Conduct root cause analysis by troubleshooting from system level down to component level.
• Create schematic capture deliverables including functional overviews, cable overviews, and detail wiring diagrams.
• Write and maintain technical documentation that defines specifications, design decisions, test procedures, and test reports.
• Develop and implement a product validation and verification (V&V) strategy, and validate and verify product requirements using defined V&V approaches.
• Design, develop, and build product-specific test tooling, including simulation, emulation, and hardware test tools.
• Plan and execute component-level testing, sub-module integration, and module and system-level integration.
• Bridge electrical systems with system software by aligning interfaces and supporting integration work.
• Identify, analyze, document, and manage requirements with traceability, coordinating verification criteria to confirm deliverables match intent.
• Conduct research and feasibility studies, then translate findings into recommendations, tradeoffs, and decision inputs.
• Define and communicate specifications and high-level designs, align interfaces, and support reviews and approvals to enable quality execution.
• Support system or product integration by coordinating dependencies, applying configuration management, and enabling smooth project execution.
• Estimate effort, plan and track work, manage risks and dependencies, and deliver assigned work packages or projects to agreed quality and timelines.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and share knowledge through coaching and mentoring as applicable, while following EHS policies and mitigating safety risks.

Education and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, or an MS degree in a relevant field.

Work model and location

• Potential exposure to strong magnetic fields, high voltage, and currents.
• Routine physical requirements include sitting, walking, talking, hearing, keyboard use, finger and hand use, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching, and stretching.
• Occasionally required to move around campus and lift or move up to 20 pounds.
• Travel may be required (domestic and/or international) depending on business needs.
