Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Data Security Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and operation of security solutions for DoW clients across the Indo-Pacific. This onsite role on Ford Island, Hawaii centers on establishing a Zero Trust posture, leveraging data security tools and endpoint detection and response to monitor, detect, and respond to threats, and mentoring engineers on the frontline of defense.
Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and operate security solutions for DoW clients across the Indo-Pacific.
- Monitor and respond to potentially malicious cyber activity that could threaten data, systems, or the mission using data security tools and EDR.
- Develop standard operating procedures and configurations to sustain a robust Zero Trust posture.
- Collaborate with a cross discipline Zero Trust engineering team to propose enhanced designs and operational approaches.
- Mentor advancing cybersecurity engineers to help them grow into the nation’s frontline defense.
Requirements
- Experience designing, deploying, and configuring data security solutions.
- Experience with Elastic for visibility and analytics.
- Experience with data loss prevention tools such as Forcepoint, Trellix, or Symantec.
- Experience with cyber event analytics and workflow.
- Experience documenting and diagramming workflow processes.
- Secret clearance.

Work Model
- Remote: May require in person work at Booz Allen or a customer facility on occasion.
- Hybrid: Regular work from a Booz Allen facility with potential client site visits as needed.

Clearance
- Secret clearance is required. Applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Compensation
The projected annual base salary range is $86,900 to $198,000. Compensation at Booz Allen is determined by location, education, knowledge, skills, and experience, along with contract-specific factors. The range shown reflects a typical salary component of total compensation.
Identity Verification
As part of the hiring process, Booz Allen will conduct an identity verification using advanced biometrics and artificial intelligence to confirm authenticity.
