This role supports NAVSEA programs under a Decision Technologies contract, focusing on test and evaluation activities to verify performance, safety, and reliability of software and aerospace systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, execution, and analysis of tests to confirm that software and aerospace systems meet performance, safety, and reliability requirements.
- Develop comprehensive test plans, manage configuration, evaluate data, and report findings to support design iterations and validation activities.
- Apply foundational science and mathematics to research and develop cost-effective technical solutions.
- Serve as the bridge between user needs and practical applications in development efforts.
- Contribute to product and equipment design, implement improved methods for extracting, processing, and using materials, and explore new materials aligned with technological advances.
- Assess the environmental and human impacts of the products and systems created or deployed.
- Support testing, production, or maintenance activities by supervising manufacturing processes, diagnosing failures, and ensuring ongoing quality through testing.
- Estimate project timelines and cost trajectories to support planning and execution.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
- Option A: High school diploma or GED with 20 years of relevant experience in Surface Radars, Electronic Warfare, EO/IR, Decoys and/or Laser system or subsystem test and evaluation.
- Option B: Bachelor's degree with 15 years of relevant experience in the same technical areas.
- Option C: Master's degree with 10 years of relevant experience in the same areas.
Experience
- Surface Radars: 10 years (Required).
- Developing or reviewing test plans and test procedures: 10 years (Required).
- Participation in land-based or at-sea testing activities: 10 years (Required).
- EO/IR: 10 years (Required).
Position Description
You will provide support to the Program and Deputy Program Manager for a 200-person contractor team, including subcontractor personnel.
Work Location and Telework
The government work location is the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC. Onsite presence at the Navy Yard and nearby office locations is expected up to five days per week. Telework may be possible with the customer’s approval and will evolve as the working relationship develops.
Travel Requirements
Occasional travel is expected to support government efforts on the East and West Coasts, including Norfolk, VA and San Diego, CA.
Compensation
Salary is USD 125,000 to 150,000 per year. Final compensation is determined by location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract-specific affordability, and organizational requirements.
