As a Senior Network Security Engineer at HP, you will help engineer advanced enterprise security solutions and support a security architecture that stays coherent, reliable, and sustainable. This onsite role in Spring, TX 77389 brings together security engineering, cross-functional collaboration, and ongoing operational support across technologies such as DLP, SSL decryption and inspection, SSE, and WAF.

What you’ll do
- Lead design, development, communication, and maintenance of advanced security solutions.
- Partner with managed service providers to maintain continuous, optimal performance through regular maintenance activities, updates, and patches.
- Coordinate with HP cybersecurity teams to assist in investigation and response to security incidents, including analysis to eliminate false positives where appropriate.
- Recommend, implement, and maintain security policies, driving continuous improvement based on best practices.
- Monitor DLP alerts and events, analyze trends, and generate regular reports with insights to strengthen data protection strategies.
- Collaborate with IT architecture to evaluate security technologies, platforms, and vendors to recommend solutions aligned to technical requirements and business needs.
- Work across IT architecture, IT support, cybersecurity, and compliance to integrate security solutions into broader security or IT architectures.
- Partner with vendor account teams to understand and implement security enhancements that bolster HP’s security posture.
- Create and maintain documentation covering configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Participate in security architecture working groups, support designated programs, and act as a mentor to peers.
- Assess security solution objectives and constraints against network architecture standards, then recommend suitable technical architecture.
- Identify and communicate implementation risks and possible enterprise impact for pending or scheduled changes to managed security solutions.
- Serve as an escalation point and subject matter expert for Major Incidents and operational issues within the Security tower or other towers as needed.
- Assist in building business cases for architectural directions, including total cost of ownership and return on investment.
- Ensure alignment between business, application, data, and technology solutions with HP technology and governance strategies, policies, and standards.
Required qualifications
- Minimum 7 years industry experience, including 3-5 years at the Expert level.
- Minimum 5 years working in enterprise networking environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Certifications or advanced training in Zscaler products, Microsoft E3, and other relevant cybersecurity tools are preferred.

Compensation and benefits
Pay range: $116,150 to $182,400 USD annually. Additional opportunities for pay may include bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only).
