Advanced Mechanical Engineer and Product Owner

General Dynamics Mission Systems is seeking an Advanced Mechanical Engineer and Product Owner to lead mechanical design, development, and the integration of high-technology refreshes for electronics aboard submarine platforms. Based in Pittsfield, Massachusetts with hybrid work options, this role combines hands-on engineering leadership with product-focused development to advance Fleet Ballistic Missile Fire Control programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional team responsible for mechanical design, development, and insertion of advanced electronics refreshes on the submarine platform.
• Act as a stakeholder in product-oriented design and development activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics field. A Master's degree is also listed as a qualifying education level.
• 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
• Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire.
• Selected applicants will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of work performed within our facilities.

Salary Note

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors, including geographic location. Actual pay may vary. Combined Salary Range: USD 118,519.00 – 131,482.00 /Yr.
