Job Description

WRITER is seeking an AI engineer to build and deploy high-performance, scalable AI applications and AI-powered features for its enterprise platform. The role emphasizes production impact, scalable delivery, and responsible deployment of large language model capabilities, including intelligent agents grounded in enterprise data.

Role Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and deploy high-performance, scalable AI applications in production environments, with reliable integrations across the end-to-end platform.
  • Drive development of intelligent agents and AI-powered features, converting complex research into solutions that deliver practical customer impact.
  • Collaborate with research scientists, data scientists, and product managers to define technical requirements and ship features aligned with key business needs.
  • Support research and evaluation of emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and tools to sustain leadership in enterprise generative AI.
  • Promote responsible AI practices, including bias detection, explainability, and safety alignment, to help ensure systems are trustworthy and ethical.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience building and deploying machine learning or AI systems in production.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with AI/ML frameworks including PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
  • Strong foundation in machine learning, deep learning architectures, and natural language processing, especially large language models.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, along with MLOps tools used to manage the AI lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to write clean, efficient, well-tested code for scalable software systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and interest in tackling complex technical challenges through creative AI solutions.
  • Collaboration mindset across teams, commitment to challenging the status quo to drive innovation, and ownership of projects with a focus on impact and excellence.

  • Location: New York, NY (hybrid)
  • Salary: USD 198,000 - 259,000 per year
