AI Engineer - AI Trainer

AfterQuery Experts is a research lab focused on pushing the boundaries of artificial intelligence through novel datasets and experimentation. In this remote, asynchronous role, you will help design and assess AI and ML model inference tasks that stress judgment, performance, and reliability under realistic conditions.

Working from Davie, FL (remote), you will review model reasoning, identify correctness issues and subtle failure modes, and produce clear documentation that supports engineering auditability for the training data pipeline.

What You’ll Do

• Design challenging, realistic tasks covering model inference, GPU kernels, and ML systems performance scenarios based on production practice
• Evaluate model outputs for correctness, sound reasoning, and subtle failure modes
• Document your reasoning clearly so another engineer can audit the judgment

What We’re Looking For

• Professional experience in ML engineering, inference optimization, or systems ML
• Familiarity with GPU execution, kernel-level performance, or serving stacks
• Ability to reason precisely about numerical and performance trade-offs

Compensation and Work Setup

• Competitive Compensation: USD 115-135 per hour, paid weekly
• Remote, asynchronous: fully remote with an on-your-own schedule
