Job Description

Applied Underwriters is assembling a small team of AI Engineers to adapt and build AI and data science capabilities that support underwriting workflows. The work connects real underwriting data to practical insights for underwriters, alongside hands-on contributions to applications and supporting infrastructure.

Role Overview

You will be one of a small group of AI Engineers working closely with underwriters and operations staff. The focus is to adapt existing AI/data science products to match underwriting needs and to build new solutions when current tools do not fit. The position leans toward data science, turning submission, policy, and loss data into insight underwriters can act on.

In addition to core data science work, team members also build applications and contribute to infrastructure. Your work will be reviewed by three senior AI engineers, who will teach and guide you throughout the process.
