Application Engineer Sr - HVAC Technical Support
Job Description
Lead expert technical application support for commercial HVAC products while partnering with sales, reps, and customers to solve complex application challenges.
Responsibilities
- Support the product support team with advanced technical troubleshooting via phone and e-mail for internal and external customers, focused on selection and application
- Analyze special designs and develop solutions for unique, complex applications including design work and special pricing support
- Assist with field issue resolution through occasional travel when diagnostics or subject matter expertise are required
- Highlight and communicate key selling points of current products to sales teams and customers
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and help implement changes where applicable
- Evaluate competitor activity to strengthen the company’s market position in associated markets
- Develop, organize, and present application trainings for internal/external customers and trade associations, onsite and offsite
- Take a lead role in offsite events, including planning, setup, and organizing customer interactions
- Provide input to business unit leadership for strategic planning
- Participate in and lead industry associations and committees to influence industry direction
- Mentor, train, and indirectly supervise other team members; may include direct reports
- Leverage relationships with the rep network and sales channel to develop and support the product roadmap
- May manage complex team projects, including determining timelines
- Document service calls to capture data related to product questions and field issues
Requirements
- 6-9 years of relevant engineering work experience
- Associate Degree (2-year) or equivalent years of job experience required
- Bachelor Degree preferred (4-year)
Compensation & Location
- Location: Tulsa, OK (onsite)
- Base pay range: $105,630 - $130,485 per year
- Compensation note: Starting base pay may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance
