Associate Civil Engineer

The role of Associate Civil Engineer is based onsite in Barnegat, NJ and centers on land development, infrastructure design, and municipal engineering. The position emphasizes design work, permitting, project collaboration, and the production of technical reports, with a salary range of USD 85,000 to 115,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Develop civil engineering designs including site layouts, grading, drainage, utilities, and roadways using CAD software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Prepare and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, surveyors, and other engineering disciplines to deliver comprehensive solutions tailored to client needs.
• Create engineering reports, feasibility studies, and calculations to support project design and decision-making.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in civil engineering design, preferably in land development or municipal projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant engineering software; knowledge of stormwater management software is a plus.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus or a willingness to obtain it.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
