AWS Data Engineer - Consultant

Deloitte is seeking an AWS Data Engineer - Consultant in Houston, TX (onsite) to design, develop, and deploy scalable data engineering and ETL solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable data engineering and ETL solutions in a mission-focused environment.
• Apply deep expertise in Python, SQL, and AWS-based data integration to build and maintain backend data pipelines, ETL workflows, and cloud-native processing solutions using AWS Lambda, AWS Glue, and Amazon S3.
• Leverage strong database design and data architecture knowledge, including schema development, data modeling, normalization, optimization, and data integrity controls, translating business and technical requirements into secure, maintainable, and high-performing data solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2+ years of experience in SQL, Python, ETL architecture and development, AWS cloud engineering, database and data management.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role.
• Travel up to 10% on average, depending on client engagements and project needs.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
