Job Description

What you’ll do

Provide technical leadership for utility-scale solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects as a Senior Civil Engineer. This position reports to the Project Manager and is onsite in Juno Beach, FL for a 1 year contract.

  • Lead civil due diligence reviews across ALTA, geotechnical, environmental, permitting, drainage, and grading.
  • Manage and review EOR deliverables through design milestones including 30/60/90/IFC.
  • Support the design automation process for automated BESS designs.
  • Help with project development activities such as constructability reviews, CAPEX estimates, and value engineering.
  • Coordinate with EORs, EPCs, surveyors, geotechnical consultants, and internal engineering teams.
  • Review RFIs, change orders, and construction issues through project execution.
  • Support hydrology, drainage, roadway, grading, and other site development work.
  • Deliver technical leadership for utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects end-to-end.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
  • 11–15 years of civil engineering experience.
  • Experience with utility-scale solar, BESS, substations, or large infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of grading, drainage, stormwater, permitting, and construction support.
  • Experience managing external engineering firms and EPC contractors.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred.
