Consulting Technical Manager, AI Data Engineer

Oracle is seeking an experienced Consulting Technical Manager, AI Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize cloud-based data pipelines and AI data platforms for enterprise-scale IC customer initiatives in Reston, VA (onsite).

Responsibilities

• Architect and enhance cloud data pipelines and AI platforms to support large-scale IC programs.
• Operate with Oracle-based systems within high-volume environments.
• Partner with data scientists, DBAs, and business analysts to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, or database management for enterprise-scale mission systems, preferably within the federal sector.
• Experience managing geospatial intelligence data (vectors and rasters).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Oracle, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong experience architecting and implementing Oracle Databases.
• AI-enabling data using Vector data type, RAG, and MCP.
• Solid knowledge of ETL pipeline design (including data transformations) and implementation for large-scale data systems.
• Containers/Kubernetes experience.
• Proficiency with shell scripting, Python, or other automation tools.
• Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and data lineage practices.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams including data scientists, DBAs, and business analysts.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for documenting and presenting solutions.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI eligibility with poly.

Desired Skills

• Designing multi-modal databases that integrate Relational, Spatial, JSON, and Graph data types.

• Creating and deploying RESTful APIs, including Oracle API Gateway.
• Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Database Certified Professional or OCI Architect Professional) are a plus.
• Experience supporting Intelligence Community agencies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and innovative thinking skills.
