Control Systems Engineer

This contract role is a hands-on Control Systems Engineer position supporting a major manufacturing site. The work is onsite in Hickory, NC, for approximately 12 months, with a focus on Rockwell ControlLogix PLCs, drives, and SCADA support. Compensation is an hourly rate of USD 60 to 90 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Programming, troubleshooting, and modifying PLC logic using Rockwell ControlLogix
• Assisting with installation and commissioning of new production lines
• Managing drives and motion systems including PowerFlex, Yaskawa, and servo applications
• Identifying faults and resolving issues on live manufacturing equipment
• Providing SCADA support; iFix experience is helpful but not required
• Collaborating with plant teams to keep projects on schedule

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of controls or automation experience
• Strong Rockwell PLC background, preferably ControlLogix
• Experience in discrete manufacturing environments
• Proficiency with drives and motion systems
• Proven ability to troubleshoot on running production systems
• Must be onsite full-time for the duration of the project
