Job Description

The Data Engineer I will provide strategic and technical support to Green Courte Residential Holdings and its managed companies, building and maintaining the data and analytics ecosystem while acting as a technical visionary to identify new efficiencies through technology. This onsite role is based in Clearwater, FL, with a salary range of USD 90,000–115,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, design, and manage efficient, scalable data pipelines and monitoring capabilities.
  • Develop a strong understanding of Green Courte platform data to rapidly create new data assets or enhance existing ones to inform key operational areas.
  • Identify and implement operational efficiencies through automation and integration.
  • Uphold data integrity by establishing scalable quality checks and controls.
  • Maintain clear data documentation and monitor user engagement to maximize impact across technical skill levels.
  • Oversee Green Courte’s data catalog and ensure robust data discoverability for all end users.
  • Provide ad hoc analytical support to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, or a related STEM field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL, with solid software engineering fundamentals.
  • Experience building Python based API services using Flask or FastAPI, along with Pandas or Polars and Pydantic for data validation.
  • Experience with Airflow to orchestrate complex data pipelines.
  • Experience developing event-driven data pipelines with RabbitMQ or SQS.
  • Experience sourcing data from external APIs and building production-ready data models using dbt or SQLMesh.
  • Experience working with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, and related technologies.
  • Experience using Git for version control and GitHub for CI/CD workflow management.
  • Experience operating in Linux environments, including shell scripting and operational troubleshooting.
  • Experience with observability and structured logging, using Grafana or similar tooling.
  • Full stack mindset with willingness to develop across layers to deliver data products.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented, able to work efficiently under pressure in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Curious, continuous learner with the ability to distinguish trends from fads in data technology.
  • Collaborative team player.
