Job Description
Realign LLC is hiring a Data Engineer to build and optimize cloud-native data pipelines, data lakes, and warehouses in Charlotte, NC (onsite).
Responsibilities
- Design and develop large-scale data pipelines using Python
- Build and maintain ingestion, processing, indexing, and retrieval pipelines for both structured and unstructured data
- Own architecture for cloud-native data lakes and data warehouses
- Optimize big data processing jobs to improve speed and cost
- Support data governance, data quality, and monitoring systems
- Mentor junior data engineers and lead code reviews
- Partner with data scientists to help deploy machine learning models
- Integrate ETL and data ingestion workflows with API integration
Requirements
- Experience: 8+ years
- Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field
- Primary skills: Python, SQL, data ingestion and ETL, API development and integration
- Datastores and search: Mongo DB, Oracle or relational databases, Elastic or Solr search
- Vector and platform tools: vector database, Linux/Bash, OpenShift containers
- Engineering workflow: Git, Jenkins, CI/CD, data modelling
- Secondary skills: Fast API, data quality and validation, performance tuning
- Required roles/skills: Data / Python Engineer (Python / DevOps Engineer)
