Data Engineer III

JPMorganChase is seeking a Data Engineer III to join the External Reporting and Finance Control team in Jersey City, onsite. The role centers on designing and delivering trusted data collection, storage, access, and analytics solutions, and on developing, testing, and maintaining critical data pipelines and architectures across multiple business functions. This position offers a base salary range of USD 118,750 to 160,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to reviews of controls to help ensure robust protection for enterprise data.
• Advises on and implements custom configuration changes in one to two tools to deliver products requested by the business or customers.
• Updates logical and physical data models to reflect new use cases.
• Regularly works with SQL and has working knowledge of NoSQL databases and their role in the marketplace.
• Contributes to a team culture that values diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.

Requirements

• More than five years of experience in data engineering and ETL use cases.
• Experience across the data lifecycle.
• Advanced SQL skills, including joins and aggregations.
• Working understanding of NoSQL databases such as Mongo.
• Extensive experience with statistical data analysis and the ability to select appropriate tools and data patterns for analysis.
• Experience tailoring tool configurations to generate a product.
