Job Description
Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into a data platform architecture that serves business intelligence engineers, data scientists, and product managers.
- Collaborate with other technology and data engineering teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide range of sources using AWS data technologies.
- Explore and evaluate the latest AWS capabilities to introduce new features and improve efficiency.
- Maintain and enhance existing data pipelines and establish scalable, automated data ingestion processes.
- Partner with BIE leaders, business owners, and developers to identify new data sources and deliver BI and analytics solutions.
- Develop end-to-end automation of data pipelines so datasets are readily consumable by visualization tools, ML platforms, and reporting processes on various cadences.
- Improve data integrity, availability, and auditability through robust processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of data engineering experience.
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS.
- Experience mentoring team members on best practices.

A Day In The Life
As a Data Engineer, you will craft new data engineering patterns aligned with cloud architectures and extend or migrate pipelines to align with these architectures as needed. You will design and implement complex ETL pipelines within a big data platform and related BI solutions to support growing data demands, delivering data as a service that informs day-to-day decisions across the business.
