Design Engineer

Join The Structures Company, LLC as a Design Engineer supporting electrical and control hardware work across aerospace and defense programs. This onsite contract role in Littleton, CO focuses on designing PWM hardware circuits, power and control circuitry, and supporting systems analysis and testing for missile propulsion and aircraft instrumentation.

What you’ll work on

• Develop, lay out, and design PWM hardware circuits for the DC propulsion system rocket motor (PSRE) used in the Minuteman III ICBM Missile.
• Apply analog circuit design principles to defense and aerospace hardware during hardware development, layout, and design activities.
• Design control circuits for missile and propulsion power systems.
• Support power system upgrades by designing missile silo power system and power panel upgrades with subcontractors.
• Work with RASCAL Pod F-35 instrumentation components used for flight test data collection using IRIG-106, MIL-STD-1553, and GPS standards.

Analyses and testing

• Perform electrical wire harness FMECA analysis.
• Conduct LRU testing for F-22 and F-35 aircraft.
• Support component classification for DoD life cycle upgrades.

Required qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR.
• Experience in development, layout, and design of PWM hardware circuits.
• Experience with DC propulsion system rocket motor (PSRE) hardware for Minuteman III ICBM Missile or similar missile systems.
• Experience with component classification for DoD life cycle upgrades.
• Experience performing electrical wire harness FMECA analysis.
• Experience with missile silo power system and power panel upgrade design.
• Experience designing control circuits for defense or aerospace systems.
• Experience with RASCAL Pod F-35 instrumentation components using IRIG-106, MIL-STD-1553, and GPS.
• Experience performing LRU testing for F-22 and F-35 aircraft.
